I want to know if there be snow during our stay and what kind of adventure sports are supported? also I have read that stay in Kufri is better and cheaper. Is that true? should we take tour packages or rely on booking at spot?
Please help us. Thank u!

Kufri’s a good place for winter sports. In fact, Kufri boasts of the oldest ski slopes in the whole of Himachal. You can also enjoy lunging, hiking up and horse riding here. Kufri also has helium facilities.
Kufri holds the National Snow Statue Competition sometime in January.
Do check out the Himalayan Nature Park in Kufri which has animals like the musk deer, ibex, black and brown bears and pheasants. But you won’t see much unless you’re on a vehicle. The peak is crowned by a small temple.
The Mahasu Ridge also has some slopes for skiing. Horses can be hired at Rs 30 to Rs 160 for trips around the valleys and hills.
For accommodation, try the Kufri Holiday Resort.
Kufri is a normal stop for buses that travel between Shimla and Narkanda or up to Rampur (via Fagu). Taxis are also available. .
