Places to visit in KanpurKanpur is a wonderful city and has a number of tourist spots. Main attractions are as follows:

Jajmau: This place was also famous as Siddhapuri and was considered to be the empire of the Pauranic king Yayati. Currently, Jajmau shelters the Siddha Devi and Siddhanath temples.It also accommodates the tomb of the well-known Sufi saint Makhdum Shah, which was constructed by Tughlaq.

Shri Radhakrishna Temple: This magnificent temple was laid by J.K Trust and is also called J.K temple.It attracts tourists with its exclusive ancient and modern structural design.The temple holds five shrines which are dedicated to Shri Radhakrishna, Shri Ardhnarishwar, Shri Laxminarayan, Shri Hanuman and Shri Narmadeshwar.

Jain Glass Temple: This beautiful temple is decorated with enamel and glass work and is situated at Maheshwari Mohal close to the Kamla Tower.

Allen Forest Zoo: This is the finest zoo of India and is considered to be finest place for picnic in the middle of its pleasing environment and outdoor life.

The Kanpur Memorial Church: This church is constructed in Lombardic style and is dedicated to the British who were killed in the 1857 war. This church holds various memorial tablets including memorial to the rebellion in its heart.

Kamla Retreat: This lovely estate possessed by Singhania family includes a swimming pool, wherein fake waves are generated, a park and a channel with boating facility besides zoo and a museum which compiles archaeological and historical relics.

Phool Bagh: This Park is also called Ganesh Udyan and shelters Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial.
Nana Rao Park: This Park is situated near Phool Bagh and is the location of ‘Bibighar of 1857 which, after independence, was retitled to Nana Rao Park also.
