Hawa Mahal: This is a very famous tourist spot and almost everyone in India and abroad must have heard about this most popular spot in Jaipur. Constructed by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the palace can be dated way back to 1799. The palace is having 152 windows in just five stories building and this is what makes it unique with its construction. With a semi – octagonal construction and over hanging latticed balconies, which were initially built for women to view outside and enjoy any procession etc; this structure truly depicts the advancements in Rajput architectural styles.

Jal Mahal: It literally means a palace of water. Actually this unique palace is located right in the heart of the Man Sagar Lake which is situated nearly 6 kms away from Amer.

You can literally find here large instruments which were once actually used to keep an eye on the movements of constellations. There is also a huge Sun-dial which if properly read can give you the exact time in that time zone.

Jaigarh Fort: The palace bears the world’s biggest cannon standing on wheels and this makes this palace so special. Laid by Maharaja Sawai Jaisingh, the fort has barrels as long as twenty feet and pumped in cannon for a single shot.

City Palace:  This is one of the biggest constructions in the old city as it alone actually occupies more than one seventh of the old city. The palace architecture is actually a mixture of the Mughal and the Rajput forms. The interior of the palace is really breathtaking indeed.
