Dona Paula: It is a spot very popular in Goa. The name of this sport comes from Dona Paula de Menzes, the daughter of a viceroy of the colonial India. She felt in love madly with a Gaspar Dias, who was a mere fisherman of Goa. When she was denied of permission of marrying her lover, she committed suicide by jumping from a cliff and today Dona Paula symbolizes the essence of Goa and tells the tale of an unhappy love story.

Mapusa: Mapusa is basically the market center of Goa. It is a very small town and it basically supplies commodities for daily requirements to the nearby areas. You can actually see the ancient tradition of Goa, in this main market which is generally held on Fridays only. Some of the popular beaches of Goa include Anjuna and Chapora and Mapusa falls on the route to it so it is quite easily accessible. Also the Kansarpal-Kalbadevi temple which is nearly 800 years old, is located 14kms away from Mapusa and  is worth visiting.

Margao: Popularly known as the cultural capital of the city it is one of the busiest towns in Goa. You can actually see the preserved Portuguese culture in this place.

Vasco Da Gama: This is located at a distance of 29kms southeast from Panjim, which is the capital of the city. This is a cosmopolitan city and is one of the busiest port in western India.
