Gaurishankar Lake: This dried lake is used for coordinating public occasions like fairs etc. It has a garden called Pil Garden and a picnic spot.

Takhteshwar Temple: Located on a hill, this temple constructed by Maharaja Takhatsinghji is built in white marble with a picnic spot and a spot for worshipping lord Mahadev .

Lock Gate: Here the brine is seized by these lock gates which keep ships buoyant during low wave, which one can see with individual permit.

Central Salt and MCRI: Situated on Waghavadi Road, the popular central salt and marine research institution is an ideal place for science-lovers.

Samaldas College: This is another attraction that claims Gandhiji as one of the scholars and is known for its barton library.

Shihor: Shihor is famous for old castle that belongs to the Maharaja of Bhavnagar,wood carvings , wall paintings and gardens.Other notable places are  Jain temples of Talaja ,Vabhipur city, the Velvadar National Park and Alang ship breaking yard .

Khodiyar Mata:This temple memorializes the ancestral goddess of early rulers of Bhavnagar with its idol, mandap and 36 pillars.

Alang : Ship-breaking yard of Alang is  the largest one  of India. Big ships from Europe,Asia ,America are carried here to get fragmented.

Gopnath Beach: Gopnath is the taluka nerve center of Bhavanagar .Heritage hotel called Gopnath bungalow has been developed to attract tourists.
