Question: Last year I was in Darjeeling and Sikkim during October, there where too many Indian tourists! Also the weather was bit humid. This year I am coming again to India through Nepal and am thinking of going to Pokhra Almorai & Nanda Devi. What’s your suggestion?

I went to Pokhra in the 70s. Its Beautiful. I went to Almora/Kausani last in 2006. Beautiful too. I Dont know about Nanda Devi, but the biosphere area is one place I want to go to sometime. It is a very Beautiful place.
If you have’nt been to Almora, I would suggest go to Mukhteshwar/Almora/Ranikhet/Kausani. The views from Kausani are spectacular too, even if there is no lake. Jageshwar is also a great place close to Almora.
October should not be too crowded, though it may be chilly.
